DIY Woodshop 101

Back in the day, kids grew up with tools in the garage or basement, and learned to use them with their parents, or on their own. That’s how I learned, anyway. This class is for those of you who missed out and now want to get in on the fun.

In this 3-part class, we’ll learn the basics of making stuff with wood, including: the most basic and useful woodworking hand and power tools; types of readily available wood stock and materials; fasteners and joinery; coatings and finishing.

Participants will incorporate their new skills into a small bookcase tailored to their specific requirements.
